The staff and setters at Aiguille put on the best ABS comp in Orlando history. With over 65 problems to choose from, the 90+ competitors toiled away for four hours, trying to send their hardest. It was an impressive show of power and technique on all fronts. With some very close results in a number of the divisions, this is shaping up to be a real season to watch.
All in all, I think what impressed me most, was the positive and supportive atmosphere. I saw no bad sportsmanship, no one was upset with the results, I heard no grumbling about the problems. It was the sort of day that reminds you of why you started doing this in the first place.
Special thanks to Dean and Jim Norton for tireless work on our behalves.

Team Aiguille sends a video "Get Well Soon" card to Cristin Julian, who if you hadn't heard, suffered a fractured heel in a lead climbing accident a few weeks ago. We all wish her a quick and thorough recuperation, and hope to see her again soon on the walls at Aiguille.
The 2008 Edition of the Southeastern Bouldering Triple Crown kicked off last weekend at Hound Ears, NC.
This year the weather was beautiful, clear and cool, as over 400 competitors challenged the often sharp Carolina crimpers on the 60+ Granite and gniss boulders.
Congratulations to Team Aiguille member DAVID EISENSTADT who after a hard fought 6 hour redpoint comp, came in 2nd place in the Junior Division of this National strength field. With two more events to go, the season is sure to be a cliff hanger.
It is that time of year again to get registered and ready for the upcoming ABS and SCS seasons. Once again you can only register on-line for the season www.usaclimbing.net/shop_main.cfm. The cost is $25 for just ABS, $50 for just SCS, or $70 for both. Please register before the first ABS comp and make sure you bring your membership card to the comps. Once again this year you only need to compete in 2 local comps in order to be eligible to advance past Regionals.
